"Sheer silver sleeves disappeared under a bodice of black ribbons and silver edging, and emerald green silk skirts whispered down to the floor in elegant waves." ~Chapter 35: Summons from Oran.

This is the dress from my Labyrinth fanfic, Dramatic Orchestrations, found here: [link]

So this is my sad attempt at doing a little of my own artwork; maybe one day I'll actually draw Sarah in it. Anyway, I did this drawing at the suggestion of fanfiction's Xavier Jade.

Sorry about the color quality, I swear every single one of my markers tried to die while I was doing this. Especially the hunter green; that one hated me. The lines are a bit shaky, and I appologizes for that. I almost like the original sketch more; it's stark simplicity seemed to convey so much more.

way better than I pictured....but, maybe you can photoshop it....so that the sleeves actually are sheer silver....love the story and have been following it forever

Thanks! Sadly I don't have photoshop. :tears: I do have a cheapy vector program, but it doesn't have very good color or gradient control. My ongoing struggle for digital art continues!

Thanks! Drawing is sort of my side-hobby, and as long as the subject is inanimate I'm halfway decent at it. I'm actually working on a sketch with *gasp* a person in it, but we'll see how that goes.

It's perdyful. So what if the marker lines look a little tacky? It's still really pretty. Hell, it makes me wanna wear it and I'm a tomboy!!! I don't do skirts and dresses! (Well, okay...sometimes...like once or twice a year.)
dude that dress is so freaking perfectly drawn. lol.
You have no idea how long it took me to do that, and how many different reference I had to dig up. Oi... still, I love this sucker!

I remember that dress...LOL Love the drawing of it. This is what I do to, draw the dresses from my story. Though I'm not quite as patient as you are, I don't take the time to color them yet.
I'm in love with Sharpies, it was too big of a temptation not to color it. Though I do with I was better at digital art/actually had a program because the color quality is very sad. I should have used a thicker set of markers... Anyway, thank you!
